Bilas' crusade would actually destroy college athletics, though. Kanell is just a flavor-of-the-month ESPN troll that will be gone soon enough.

Yeah, I think JB sometimes goes overboard on it, but even then, he does make some good arguments. Outside of that, yeah, I enjoy his commentary on CBB. Guy really knows his shite.

Exactly. Kanell is just following orders from his boss to stir up the shite, to a very large degree, anyway. Just read between the lines what other commentators are saying about his gig. ESPN feeds on any type of controversy & Kanell is too new to be acting completely on his own. As for Bilas' crusade, he totally ignores the role that boosters' money would have if athelete could make money off their autographs: OU booster: come here & we'll pay you $10K a pop. UTb booster: no, come here & we'll pay you $20K a pop. Bilas loses me everytime he compares college athletes to slaves. And ESPN uses him as its expert on this subject.

But here's a little diddy, for a guy who cares about the NCAA and kids being used, he works for the biggest exploiters in the sports world, ESPN
isn't it kind of dooshy, with his stance, to take a big paycheck, exploiting these kids on tv and commentating on it?
