I don't care as long as Michael and Jamele get the frick off the air. I might start watching again.

Why?

Jemele can be good as gone along with LeBatard and his dad. I'm just wondering why it is someone would be excited about others' misfortune.

ETA; IDGAF if those personalities are gone. Worded awkwardly

I have a feeling a lot of the layoffs will be local ESPN radio folks since they can just run their national shows over them.

Nah. They said it will be cutting the higher earning on air talents to reduce costs. Local radi guys making 50K is not hurting them.

Colin Cowherd has been saying for the past couple weeks that the second layoff in 3 years has already happened, or is going on at present. Of course Cowherd has been known to straight up lie on air so...

There might be a few large market "Local" radio hosts that actually work for ESPN, but I doubt it. But for the most part the local hosts on ESPN branded radio stations work for that radio station, or are independent contractors.

They will probably keep Jemelle and Michael and elevate them and lay off the ones you like. That's why they are falling so fast.

Y'all really have nothing better to do than complain about tv personalities on a cable network that you only watch for live sporting events.

This.

What kind of a-hole do you have to be to openly root for someone to lose their livelihood?
