I'm idly wondering what this team would look like with mike d'antoni at the helm. I don't think they could win a championship but they would be interesting

That would be fun.

There's still no answer for Irving and Love being so terrible on defense, just so bad. I play DFS,a nd I'm just pounding the point guard for whoever plays CLE every night and doing quite well lol.

I do think they will improve on defense. Kyrie looked decent in the SA game. The person that I think is going to cause some difficulty is Dion Waiters. There were already chemistry issues with him, and I can't see his reduced role doing anything except amplify these issues.

Maybe there's nothing wrong with Cavs and this is exactly who they are going to be and the ones who bought into the media bonanza can eat crow for being so easily misled. I think it's hilarious espn is going to put every cavs win or loss front and center of their website. I really think they will be hovering around .500 this season but will still make the playoffs because the east is so bad.

Lebron is not a good leader and the team needs leadership. I think that's it.

I think that's what it is right now

Cleveland isn't big enough for LeBron and Johnny.

Giving Varajeo that extension will frick them in the future.

I suggest that they make a concession on rim protection. They need to be a miami light and play aggressive defense geared towards getting stops and turnovers. I'd start love at the 5, put Bron at the 4 and re-insert waiters into the lineup. Marion can be the defacto "battier" at this point.

They are who they are antomically "they won't get any taller" so they need to make use of what they got.

Brons ra ra talks are almost as bad as JJ watts. If he were my teammate, I would have tuned him out already.

This makes me feel like wade and UD were the real policmen and leaders of the miami locker room from 2010-2014

I just don't see it. Love had the Wolves at .500 in the way tougher West without LeBron. They will figure it out and get a Top 4 seed. I don't think this team will ever be awesome defensively, but a really good offensive team can win lots of games.

LeBron needs to stop acting like the coach.

Shut up and listen

I would not be surprised if they don't make a deep playoff run to see Love walk in the offseason.

Yup. If that happens, this could really be a sad end to LeBron's career. And there is no way he abandons them no matter what.

His injury history seems questionable as well.

(10'-11')-31 games played
(11'-12')-25 games played
(12'-13')-25 games played
(13'-14')-65 games played

Only played more than 70 games 3 times in his 11 year career.

For comparison Dwight Howard has played over 70 games 9 times.

Even Tracy McGrady played over 70 games 6 times.

Dwayne Wade has done it 5 times in 11 seasons.

Gilbert Arenas did it 5 times in 10 seasons.

This is insane. Wow.

Would make that trade look a little foolish, especially if Wiggins continues to flourish.

The T-Wolves got more than any team I can ever remember that knew they were losing their All-Star.

This is not exactly a feat in the anemic East, tbqh.

The biggest problem with it is this:

They won't have enough money to chase a free agent if Love opts out and bounces. They'd only have their MLE I believe.

They'd be forced to resign Tristan Thompson

If that happens...does Lebron Opt out himself and leave? Theyd essentially have to choose between LeBron and Kyrie, meaning trade Kyrie for pieces for make a championship push or stay committed to the current roster

Seriously. I can't even imagine a team making it twice in a row in the West... Oh shite. Damn Spurs...
