I was shocked, especially after game that all the talking heads were on the topic of Mahomes catching Brady as GOAT and/or SB wins.

Hes a great qb..but his game doesn't translate to lasting 20 years.

No way anyone will ever catch Brady....ever.

Mahomes definitely can catch Brady. It doesn’t matter if he doesn’t get 7 as long as he gets a couple more rings and keeps breaking records and winning mvps he’ll be no.1 how could you deny him if he wins 3 or 4 Super Bowls and like 10 mvps

Yeah I found it strange as well. I don’t pay attention to the NFL too closely, so it seemed odd to me for people to already be putting Mahomes in a GOAT discussion when he’s only been in the league for like 3 years.

Because 3 or 4 is less than 7 (or 8)?

Mahomes first year as a starter was right on par with Brady's best year ever, and he won a super bowl in year 2.

His statistical trajectory is insane.

You assume he’s always going to be playing on a team this good and will keep getting better. Brady’s been in the league for like 20 years. Mahomes has been in the league 3. There’s a lot that can happen in 17 years.

There is a better chance of Mahomes never winning another Super Bowl at all than winning 2-3 more. shite is really hard—that’s what makes Brady’s career just so incredible.

You make it sound like he can win mvp award by snapping his fingers. He’s got 1 at age 25. A lot of things have to go right like supporting cast, coaching, injuries, the competition.

mahomes should already have 2 wins and 3/3 in getting there. i feel comfortable in saying that mahomes will probably win at least 3 more

of course

the comparisons come from people seeing the best 3 year start to a QB career ever and wondering what the ceiling is if that continues

he’s got 1 and could argue should have 2 after 3 years in the league. Rodgers has 5-6 more years tops who’s gonna be winning them if not him? Cuz we already see where the career started at imagine where he’ll be at 29 there’s a reason he got paid half a billion

It one post you say rings are what matters for QBs, then here you admit how awful his teammates were at protecting him in the super bowl

Do you realize how knuckle dragging simple that makes you sound?

Mahomes cap hit was less than 6 mil this past year. It jumps to 24 next year 31 the next and then sits in the 40s forever until they renegotiate.

It will be interesting to see how that affects him. It has obviously affected Rodgers. He was a 7.75 mil cap hit the year they won it all and the Packers have struggled putting pieces around him as his number has gone up. And that’s with his number hovering around “only” 20 mil for the last 6-7 years.

I would bet you a lot of money he never has a season as good as he did in 2018 again.
