That 90-91 team was amazing. Anyone think they could return to a final four or are they done for good?

I have wondered the same thing. I checked the MW standings last night and saw they were near the bottom

They could get back. You have Gonzaga as a perennial power. You've had Butler playing for titles. Villanova has returned to prominence. UNLV could get back to the top again, it's basketball where you can get one or two top guys and be a final four threat.

I'm no Coach Cal fan by any means, but if you put him there he'd recruit enough talent to have them back in the elite eight or final four in short order. They just need the right coach, imo.

They remind me of Memphis out west. If they get an up and coming, Calipari-like coach they have the ability to get some recruits and go deep in the tourney. College basketball had changed too much though for them to replicate those Tark teams.

Dude, UNLV put a number one pick in the draft like 3 years ago. Zimmerman for the magic and mcgaw for golden state are from UNLV, they have had talent, it just leaves

Menzies is a good recruiter. He got some talented players to go to Las Cruces. MWC is not as strong as it was

He should be pretty solid there. This year was gonna be tough with what he took over.

That was one of the five best teams in college basketball history, IMO
