That's not what he said. He said they would be alive if he didn't have a gun which is probably a true statement. Yes, one can kill with a knife, or some other object if they're hell-bent on doing so, but it's much harder to do, especially if people are around. I'm not saying guns should be illegal but to pretend they aren't more lethal, and by quicker means, especially in the wrong hands, is simply ignoring the truth. That's not liberal or conservative.

The banning or control of guns argument works in cases where their is some element of accident or misuse. Knives, by comparison, very rarely go off in people's hands. In terms of someone intending to kill someone else, gun control isn't much of a factor in preventing pre-meditated murder.
