Here is a good impression of what Charleston is like in regards to their state flag...

Just moved to Ballston from MoCo. Going from 8 + percent income tax to around 4.7 or so..., gonna be the titties. frick Maryland's local income tax. I work out of Annapolis and its beautiful out here. Western MD is great as well. Anything east and north of Elliott City, mostly northeast, is not a place I want to visit.

It must really chap UVA's arse to have been lapped by the Hokies' athletic program.

Lapped? by what measure? They may have us beat in football, but they are terrible and 2nd rate in everything else. Even their rise as a basketball team (if you could call not making the tourney a rise) is now defunct with Seth's departure.

What? You don't like Catonsville?

Man, you wanna talk about taxes? I lived in Columbia at one point and had to pay federal tax, state tax, county tax, and city tax. Columbia's tax rates are insane. On the flip side, they have great schools, terrific park services, and public services out the wahoo. So you get what you paid for.

Annapolis is one of the greatest places on earth. I mean that. Beautiful city and a really fun place to hang out. Park the car and just walk the streets at night -- it's a great hang out city.

Then again, I love Baltimore, too. That's my town. I used to work in Hamden, which is about 50% more "Hon" than the rest of Baltimore.

Blacksburg is simply beautiful. I mean that. I love Blacksburg. Charlottesville is located in the middle of the state yet somehow still a pain in the arse to get to. If I'm going to be inconvenienced, I'd rather end up in Blacksburg. Really, why bother going to Charlottseville. Just put on a polo t-shirt and jack off to a picture of Thomas Jefferson and it will save you the trip.

And Annapolis is better than both.

I'd like to point out that people started arguing that Virginia as a state is better than Maryland and have now changed their argument to Virginia Tech sucks. Which shows that not even people from Virginia think their state is any good.

ETA: I like Richmond too. Nothing but good times in the Fan. Really, my hatred of Virginia is limited to NOVA and Nofolk. The rest of the state is fine.

UVA is 2 1/2 3 hours tops from nova blacksburg is 5 and damn near in Tennessee. As what is a better college town with better coeds and a better bar scene its UVA hands down.

Uva kicks the shite out of tech. Blacksburg is a shitty college town. Worst of all you have Radford kids who pretend go to Tech. All the guys at Tech are dpuches and EVERYONE believes they have the greatest football team in the country. They literally believe they can stand toe to toe with Alabama, and LSU.

Uva recognizes that they suck at football. But damn if theyre not excellent at every other sport. Academically tech has engineering and architecture. Everything else goes to uva.

And while UVAs secret societies might be gay, they're miles better than VTs greek life.

VT is just miserable. UVA is acceptable. Way better College town with a ton of talent

With that being said I was looking forward to going to Charlottesville for UVA vs Maryland. Then hittin up Bon Air Market for some tastey sammiches

?????? Now you're just making shite up.

Our all-time record vs them is 81-53 and 8-8 in ACC play.

Last time they were in the NCAA tourney? 2007. Last time we were in it? Yup, you guessed it. Last year.

There's no doubt Tony Bennett is doing some work at UVA. We were arguably the 4th best team in the ACC last year.
