Do they bench Dak?

Depends.
Is Les Miles coaching the cowboys?

Romo is out of a job. He needs to retire anyway. A broken back is not something you should be coming back to football from

Well, maybe if we stsrt another 5 threads on this topic, we will figure that out!

Romo instantly becomes the best back up in the NFL.

They would absolutely throw Romo back in there as soon as they could.
He's going to end up in a wheelchair.

Lmao! It will definitely be interesting. Can't imagine they actually make him the backup. Garrett will use some BS excuse about experience mattering for a playoff run.

Romo is done.
Two scenarios exist:
1) The cowboys are 4-4 or better. I don't see a reason for ruining chemistry Dak will have built by then. Especially if he is playing good.
2) They are below 500. Long shot to make the playoffs, what is the point in bringing back a banged up QB to try and go 8-8. I would still let Dak finish the year to gain experience.
Cowboys need to trade romo or let him go. He'll be like Favre and Peyton and sign a 1 or 2 year deal with a team that has everything except a QB (Denver or Minnesota)

Romo has $31 million in dead money in '16 and nearly $20 million next year. I think he stays with Dallas through next season.

Dak gets traded to the Browns for some picks

Dak will have to play much better than today, for them to sit Romo in favor of him.

If Dak plays well, they will keep him in and let Romo ride the bench

Yeah like finishing a damn drive. Settling for field goals lost the Cowboys this game.
Romo wins this game by 2 scores

Dak threw the ball 45 times.
For Romo, that would be a 325/2td game, AT A MINIMUM.

and Dak is balling?
Posted on 9/11/16 at 8:59 pm to TechDawg2007
By balling, do you mean 5 yards per attempt?
