What happened to Charles Hannagriff and Jimmy Ott. Did 104.5 dump them?

Just realized neither show is now in the 104.5 lineup. Forgive me if this should have gone in the OT forum.

I saw the lineup on the site earlier. Just wondering why neither is there any more.

They are still there, they got back together and are doing a lunchtime show.

Although it’s too bad they didn’t drop Ott

Ott's gambling show catered to the degenerate gamblers
I guess Moscona had enough since he is in charge of the program lineup and I guess the ratings weren't good enough for Jimmy's show
I'm sure Ott will still have a gambling segment on the new lunchtime show

I could see it getting enough ratings during football season. And maybe during the NBA/NHL season and March Madness there's enough stuff to bet on to keep the content fresh enough daily.

The NBA and NHL are in the finals so there's only one game in each league to bet on in any given day, soon to be 0, and not enough people bet on college baseball, and not enough people care about the MLB in south Louisiana (not saying they don't exist, but not enough to move the needle on a daily gambling show).

So it's probably best to consolidate that into just a segment on the lunch show. Once September comes around and there's NFL and CFB along with MLB playoffs and NBA/NHL seasons starting again in a month, maybe there'll be enough content for a standalone show again. Maybe they'll revisit it again around that time.

Personally I was fine with the lunch show and "lock of the week" Friday being the gambling to day of the week. Maybe they can have a 15 or 30 minute segment of the day for gambling so Ott can be useful for something but there's just not enough to keep people interested to justify an entire 2 hour show every day imo

They need to do a better job of doing the show on YouTube, that's where I listen to all my shows. Hanny-time was on there but never Jimmy otts show.

Pretty sure Hanny said the new show is not on YouTube since it’s on location at restaurants but I’m not sure

Those free lunches are more important than Youtube.

good im sick of betting odds being rammed down my throat on every show/podcast. not everyone bases their whole personality on sports betting.

One thing Hanny learned from Ott is do your show from restaurants so you can get a free lunch every day. Hanny was always a studio guy in the beginning at 104.5 then they put Ott on his show once 1210 AM shut down and Ott moved the show to restaurants. Hanny never looked back.

Now that would be silly.

Ott is by far and away the best radio personality not only in BR, but arguably the entire nation.

I don’t think he has any interest in sports if he can’t gamble on them, so I would assume so

Hanny mentioned the change on his podcast. I would recommend it because it's a good listen, but he also said that the podcast would go on hiatus until fall (before football presumably).

Unfortunately I’m never in the car during my favorite show, Hunt, so I’m always hearing ESPN national shows.

When I do hear local in the car it always seems to be Ott talking about gambling. Yeah I hear Tbob in mornings but not worth mentioning.

I listened today and it is all he talked about. You know you are a degenerate if you are talking gambling odds on NHL games in south Louisiana.
