What do you consider to be "Major" CBB Conferences?

major, top tier, whatever you term it, what do you consider to be the best with alignment.
I feel prior to the Big East reduction/dilution, it was the same as the 6 BCS conferences. Even if say the A-10 or MWC had an outstanding year you never questioned that the MWC truly replaced say the Pac 10/12 or SEC in the pecking order.
In whatever order now I feel it's:
ACC
Big 10
Pac 12
SEC
Big 12
Same as before.
I guess Big East with the No. 4, 22, and 23 teams. Certainly it's different now.
What about the AAC? Hard to consider UConn in a "mid major" and the last two champs played in the AAC (I know UL was in BE in 2013). AAC currently has 1 ranked team (SMU). But certainly UConn, Memphis, Cincy have been top teams for the last decade. But does that balance out with the likes of the C-USA castoffs of Tulane, ECU, UCF?
Do you rethink the A-10, MVC, MWC?
If I had to state it, I'd say the only change is the addition of AAC, but it doesn't feel right.
Thoughts?

is the AAC not considered a major basketball conference?

I don't know, is it? Certainly there are a few top programs and a number of dogs. That's why I'm asking for opinions.

Still sad about this. That was some top notch basketball
