I didn't like the 1st half game plan, forced us to play behind the sticks the entire time. But hell yea that Defense played great football all night! Was a sight to see

Yes we had to play them at their house again in the Semi Finals to go to the dome. Similar football game as tonight...... But a different result!

Last years came down to a 3rd and goal for welsh and they held us with 2 seconds and the refs let the last 2 seconds tick off the clock when we should have had 1 play left. Not saying we would have for sure won on that last play, but the way the game was going I could have easily seen us pulling it off. Tonight we turned the table and it was glorious

I remember when I was a kid, Welsh always had some good teams in the late 80's early 90's

The teams they had on the early 2000s with Lamaster Dugas and Brandon Yancey were tough as hell.

Beat them on a missed kick from the 1 yd line after stuffing them on 3 straight downs

I bet the atmosphere was off the chain.

Yea that's my era of playing, was right after Lamaster. He was a SR when I was a freshman. We have always had a lot of talent in our area, for years though everybody was screwing up with drugs etc, but things are starting to turn around and the kids have a better head on their shoulders then we did during my years.
