Well, you'd like it.
It's a hidden gem.
We have a group that plays pretty regularly. Next on the schedule is Friday.
Most of the people in this thread are scared of la tour, because they break 80 north of I-10 and come here and blast one in the triple digits.

It's not for the weak, or timid, or infirm, or weak. We play it down and putt'em out.

you from that area?. i'd probably play pretty well being its not tree lined.

playing it down and putting em out isnt a problem, we do this with our money games at le triomphe.

i'll never put money down if its not on those terms.

I'm from New Orleans.
How long have ya been playing le triomphe?
La Tour hosts the Zurich qualifier. In the spring, it'll be in better shape than TPC IMO. Greens are lightning, and the rest of the course is pristine.
No trees.

That was 30 mph consistent wind. On a 475 yard par 4 I hit diver, 3w, 7i all solid to get on. Had to play the wind to putt

Yesterday on that hole with no wind I hit driver/hybrid

im not saying i'd shoot a great score relative to the scorecard on a day like that. one of the best things my college golf coach told me was to figure out what was par for that day and go from there. it puts things in perspective. if its a par 72 and the conditions are that bad, in reality par for that day could be 75 or 76. too many golfers never see it that way and i can promise you thats how the best golfers in the world approach tough days like that.

The day of tip and tuck, par was 85.
Oleander shot 108.

Oh I have no doubt that's true. But a scratch player won the tip and tuck out there with an 86 on unrolled greens. It could've gotten dumb out there.

well then the greenskeeper needs to do a better job of making the course playable when knowing tough conditions will also affect play. that's one of my biggest pet peeves. if you know a course is waterlogged dont tip it out, if you know its going to be blowing 30+ dont put the pins in tough spots next to ridges or fault lines

whats the tip and tuck?

Play it from the tips, pins placed in retard positions.

Nerds were cryin'.

It was the tip and tuck tourney. They didn't roll because we got some rain the night before. . The wind in the video isn't from that day, but it was blowing pretty good for the tourney too
