I just noticed the Tiger thread was anchored, so I figured I'd repost my thoughts here:

I just want to weigh in on this Tiger thing real quick:

I watched virtually all of Tiger's warmup coverage on the Golf Channel Sunday morning as I laid in bed hungover as frick. They showed him on the range hit at least 50 balls, and I never noticed ONCE him wince or act like his back was bothering him. I know he has injury history, but this one smells a little to me.

He was spraying the driver all over the range, for what it's worth....

I hate to sound so pessimistic, but would he have withdrew if he was say -5 or in contention?

he couldnt find it off the tee. at all

That par 5 on the front...the announcer said Tiger hit it in a hazard that most of the field probably wasn't even aware existed

I wonder if he will ever admit that getting rid of his 2 previous swing coaches was a mistake.

I continue to be amazed at how poorly Tiger drives the ball. It really is fricking amazing. He's probably the most talented golfer of his generation, yet he cannot keep it on the golf course. HOW is this possible?

It must be just all mental at this point. I needs to go back to ripping a mean draw and get rid of this shitty fade business

problem the SF swing is built for a fade. Examples Rose and Mahan, both hit a fade
