It had it all, a big lead, a comeback, a rain delay, a curse broken. It's what baseball needed IMO

It was absolutely incredible. Doesn't get much better than that. Had everything you can hope for in a baseball game with a championship on the line.

Don't know where it places in the pantheon of the greatest, but that was a goddamn wonderful baseball game, no matter who won.

The only one that comes to mind that's even close is Game 6 between the Rangers and Cardinals. But tonight gets the nod because it was a game 7.

No game 6 can come close. The rain delay took this one to a whole new level

As someone who grew up going to the Astrodome and Minute Maid (or Enron, lol) constantly but has mostly soured on baseball, tonight was the first game that I can remember since the night Randy Johnson debuted in the Astrodome where I didn't want to miss a single pitch.

It felt like a chess battle, but still had enough of those "moments" to drive the plot along. As someone who has mostly ignored baseball for the last 10-15 years, that was just a downright great sporting event period. It was edge of your seat type of stuff.

shite, they even had the delay to build up that drama.

When Mookie Wilson hit it between Buckners legs was a pretty damn good ball game.

but this game gets extra credit for rain delay and game 7.

i bet you people were nervous during 9th and 10th.

This was the top 3 I've ever seen. Probably #1. Too drunk to think straight, though.

It was missing a signature moment. Kirk Gibson, Joe Carter, etc...

This one & 1991 Game 7 share the title in the WS

'01 Game 7 gets a mention but all the meaningful games were 3-4-5 in NY post 9-11

Not best baseball game ever since many of those happened in LCS or Game 6

But '91 and tonight are the best WS Game 7

ETA: Greatest baseball series ever will always be 2004 ALCS
