One of Louisiana's own has the opportunity to win a national award.

Jameson Fisher has notched an impressive 80 hits for Southeastern Louisiana, including 16 doubles, two triples and 10 home runs. During the regular season, he led the Lions in batting average (.449), RBIs (60) and slugging percentage (.730). His speed on the bases has been a huge asset to Southeastern Louisiana’s 36-win season, as he is 14-for-21 in stolen-base attempts. Fisher is a two-time Southland Conference Hitter of the Week selection and was named the league's 2016 Player of the Year

What if I don't think he's the most deserving candidate?

14-21 isn't great in SB attempts

Boomer White will easily win this based on fan voting alone. He will have TCU, a&M, and the entire state of Texas voting for him.. as well as many SEC fans.

I'm not sure he deserves it though as he really tailed off towards the end. His avg isn't standing out among the other finalist and he only has 4 homers I believe? I don't know all the stats.. I just know he fell off towards the end of the season and I saw a couple of guys with similar or better averages and much more pop.

Also, the Vandy pitchers are probably dividing their support up.

He will have TCU

Will he? What was his reasoning for leaving them in the first place? Was it some sort of falling out there?

Just wondering if TCU fans would really vote for someone that left their team and went to an instate "rival."

Why does his position matter? Less than 70% success rate on stolen bases just isn't good. Under 70% and you probably cost your team more runs than you added

Will Craig of Wake Forest is better, and he didn't even win ACC PoY this year.
