I hate duhOSU as much as anyone, but I also hate the transitive property.

We may find out just how much credence the committtee will give conference winners, like they said they would.
There's lots of football left to be played out, but a 1 loss Big 10 Champ Ohio St getting in over a 1 loss Bama or Auburn or Miss St or even Oregon seems pretty laughable.

So what if Ohio State wins out and beats Nebraska in the B1G title game, the same Nebraska team who beat Miami and scored 41 points. The Same Miami team who just beat Va Tech. Then What? lol

I agree. Sure, conference champ is important. But if two teams in the same conference are clearly among the four best, they should both be in the playoff. I want the four best teams in there. Not the four best conf champs.
I'm guessing that Dantonio came out and said conf champs only because that would prevent two teams from the SEC getting in most years, and increase the chances a B1G team got in.

Just like they are forgiving Oregon for not having 1 starting lineman in their loss to Arizona. Nevermind the fact that Arizona has beaten Oregon 2 years in a row.
