Kiffin Quote: “Yesterday, as he was traveling across campus, he was given a ride in a golf cart by a couple students. Later we found out that one of these students may be an agent, so obviously we take this very serious. We talked to Dillon. Dillon didn’t know that. But we turned that into the NCAA, and in the meantime, he won’t be going with us.”

This sucks. We will need every single RB in what looks to be a very cold and wet night (33F showers/snow possible).

Also, this is not Baxter's first stint in Kiffin's dog house.

I'm not happy with Baxter, but I'm more pissed off at the USC student who is a registered agent talking to a player. That mofokker should be kicked off campus. Stat.

Maybe this will force them to go to Robert Woods.

It still boggles my mind why USCw doesn't get the ball to him more often.

I don't watch too many games, so maybe I am not seeing the whole picture. But when I pull up his stats, he has 4 catches for 25-30 yds!?!

Any SC homers could give me more details?

And yes I do understand that he leads in receiving yards, but to me the kid should have bigger plays. 12.1 per catch isn't that great for this kid.

Wow. Riding in a golf cart with somebody is now an NCAA violation. I hate USC, but this is just stupid.

At first I thought you made that up, then I looked it up and sure enough it's true...

What happened to the WR Prater? He was a big time recruit.

Prater was injured in August, and redshirted.

It's amazing how careful everyone has to be lest they possibly play with an ineligible player and have to forfeit the game,

And Cam Newton's dad is able to ask for a couple of hundred grand and Auburn is fine.

An agent has zero business being on a college campus and should have his license revoked if he tried to make contact with a player

Good Lord. Won't amount to anything, but hopefully the student being kicked off campus, if he is an agent.

I suppose if the NCAA really wanted to hurt USC, they could technically do something very serious, given USC is on probation.

What rules did USC play here? As long as they didn't play Baxter once this incident happened, USC didn't do anything wrong.

This will be more about Baxter losing eligibility than anything negative against USC.

That's ridiculous, or could be.

How can a student be an agent? That doesn't seem right I would think.

I mean, there is just no way players can be walking around campus knowing who the hell is an agent or not.

Kiffin obviously did the right thing here turning over this info, but man, I hope this ncaa deals with this and just lets it go pretty swiftly.

I'd hate to see this kid losing playing time over this if that is all that really happened.

You ever think that maybe some of it is his fault? Should have bigger plays, but doesn't. Why? Because the coaching staff Hates him? Or because he isn't a big play guy; he lacks big play ability?

Yeah, I know.

USC is due to get a ruling on the NCAA sanctions appeal in January. I think it was a smart move, and that USC has done a complete 180 with regards to compliance. Hopefully the NCAA will take note, because we really could use some of those 30 scholarships back.

This sounds fishy as hell. How is Baxter gonna catch a ride/make contact with an agent and not know it, but then somehow know about it and u$c self reports it

Sounds like there's much more to the story and little kiffy is just trying to cover his tracks

Baxter has been reinstated for the Notre Dame game, per ESPN.

Mitch Mustain will be the likely starter at QB, as Matt Barkley has a high ankle sprain.

Could be Mustain's Matt Cassell moment.

You're not. Robert Woods, 6'1 185, USC: 53 catches, 648 yards, 12.2 YPC, LONG 61, 6 TDs . ALthough he has incredible speed and moves, SC has oft used him on 3rd down as a possession receiver. USC is extrmely deep at WR. He also has a kickoff return for a TD. In the running for Fresh of the year in the PAC-10
