That's not an Arizona State University admissions test.

Those are the three questions that USC standout receiver Robert Woods apparently answered correctly when forced by the Trojans' sideline medical staff Thursday night during a standard concussion-syndrome test.

Woods passed without a No. 2 pencil or a calculator, standing upright and smiling. This was just moments after he staggered, wobbled, spun and then collapsed face-first at midfield, seemingly headed for the wrong sideline. He had just been part of a brain-jarring, helmet-to- helmet hit while laying down a block on a punt return in the first quarter against Utah.

The 20-year-old was slapped on the back and allowed by those in charge of protecting him from himself to go back into the game, and he eventually yanked in a touchdown pass during USC's come-from-behind win.

So all's good?

Lane Kiffin should have his head examined.

Apparently they ask RGIII Sunday, what the score was and what quarter it was, and he couldn't answer. But atleast they kept him out.

He is a man of fine upstanding moral character. Always does what is right for his players as young student-athletes.

If he answered 100-7-7-7 without hesitation, then it is HIGHLY doubtful he had a concussion. If it took him a while, then they needed to go on to other questions IMO.

I guess people think this makes it a concussion???

cause it doesn't fwiw

you can be knocked loopy without sustaining a concussion......that's why they have test

and this test was/is fine. no different than what is the score or what quarter is it

if he answered the 3 ?'s spot on what's the issue???

That sounds similar to the concussion test I was told I took after the first one I got in high school. Coaches later told me I got the president question wrong (said Bush, it was Clinton's second term) and was repeating things like I was friggin Rain Man. They were nice enough to keep me out though.

Very similar.

the thing is people think the questions are so easy....well they are when your brain isn't scrambled...that's the point

Im sure some would prefer the possibly concussed guy to give the definition of pI but that ain't happening

and frankly, I don't know what today's DATE is, who the frick knows that?

I think the test they gave Mettenburger earlier in the year was to have him count back from 100 to zero by three.

Hell, I would have got to about 60 or so and said "Screw it, I don't even feel like playing anymore."

If you went out on the street and asked those questions to ordinary people, I suspect close to half of them would be suspected of having a cuncussion.
