They still do this. Notice the McIlroy, Donald, Westwood pairing. That was just the first year they started it and it has continued since

They did I believe everyone in the top 10 together that year, all the way to 12.

They don't do that anymore, it's just a coincidence that's the top 3 in the world now, they do a lot by nationalities, and they try to be funny with some of the pairings

They should have paired Toms, Peterson, and DA Points together.

Yeah and with Tiger #4 and Bubba #5......Where does Phil fit? If I'm Tiger I bring it up on #1....."Hey Bubba....who doesn't belong in this pairing?"

He was a senior this year so his college career was officially over after his last NCAA championship finals match. He qualified on Monday as an amateur but I think he was going to turn professional before next week's tournament.

Bobby Wyatt and Cory Whitsett who both return to the golf team next year lost in playoffs for final spots so they barely missed qualifying for the U.S. Open. They were both a shot away from 3 players on this year's golf team qualifying for the U.S. Open

And to add insult to injury, they lose to Texas on Sunday, fly back to Houston, where Cory loses in a playoff at his home course to Jordan Spieth for the first alternate spot

Yep, really shi### end to a great season (SEC title, blowout win at NCAA regional, stroke play win in NCAAs and 2 match play wins only to lose the very last match to finish #2.) I have a feeling both those 2 guys will be teeing it up on the PGA Tour in 2 or 3 years though. Hamrick on the other hand is a great player but I'm not sure has the "can't miss" reputation coming out of high school that Whitsett had (and Wyatt to a lesser degree)
