I didn't claim otherwise.

There are more UC schools with non-bear mascots than those with one, for those of you still stuck on the bear thing.

Almost none of them have near mascots. The blue and good thing is across the board 100%

Go Irvine, if you're into Asian chicks...or Berkeley....or UCLA...

Yeah, it's pretty much universal for the UC's but I was trying to pick out the honor roll.

Davis is spot on, tho.

Wha? Auburn had the Tigers mascot as early as 1892. I can't find any evidence that LSU referred to themselves as the Tigers prior to 1896.

But ever since we let those Missouri yankees into the conference, they get to claim original holders of the Tiger mascot as they started using it in 1864.

Wasn't Kobe rumored to had been running through the entire campus earlier in his Lakers career?

Nothing wrong with the Asian population in California taking advantage of their amazing UC system.
Before I moved to the Central Coast I lived in a part of LA County that was very well known for their Taiwanese population and later Cantonese population. As much as it is known for the Asian population it is also known for the school system. Many of the top public school districts in LA, Bay Area and SD have large Asian populations because they value education and the education of their children.
They would much rather live in a city like Diamond Bar or San Marino than Seal Beach or Santa Monica because of the school districts.

I don't want to say your cousin is wrong, but UCSD is far from a party school and they are proud of it.

Did she, by chance, go to SDSU?

He might have been referring to UCSB not UCSD
Nevertheless both are great universities but one has had issues with great high school students quickly becoming drug addicted alcoholic beach bums

UCSB, for sure. Isla Vista is a great place to visit. College party central.

It may just be a rumor and all but the residents of Isla Vista have been trying to move UCSB out of their community for years. I have never heard any issues in La Jolla about UCSD of any of the other UC's regarding their student bodies consuming more drugs and alcohol than information.

I remember when that UCLA outfielder refused to give USCe the baseball for some record. They were so rustled.

Well I think they've sued a few times before...saying now they are being discriminated against.

Because by qualifications and academics a lot should get accepted...but the Universities in Cali are like frick...we need diversity, we need some white folks.

And it's really not mostly domestic.

Pac-12 has the largest international student population and most are from China.

With USC and UCLA, I think being #1 and #2 on international students.
