Sonnen hasn't finished a fight in 4 years

He sure as hell tries to finish, I guess Clay was trying to stop Pettis with the old "forehead to chest" submission.

Correct. Sonnen is far more boring than Clay Guida

Yeah, beating the shite out of Anderson Silva for 5 rounds and Nate Marquart is more boring than Clay Guida. Can I get some of that shite you are smoking.

Say what u want but Guida finished his past three fights breaking one guys jaw! Guida had Pettis's back with both hooks in and Pettis was saved by the bell.

Saying that...last night was a shitty performance.

Yeah, I understand. I'm just frustrated to see a young electrifying fighter get stifled like that. Guida was definitely fighting not to loose his title shot and not the same reckless abandon he normally does. That being said he did the smart thing for his career.

I think Dana White stating that Jim Miller is still the next in line for a title shot is proof that Guida's performance was disappointing to say the least.

i think jim miller deserves a title shot for sure. it would be fun to watch him fight guida first. jim miller would mop the floor with guida and then rip his arm off. jim miller has flown under the radar too long

I agree. If he can get through Ben Henderson I think he will definitely face the winner of Edgar vs Maynard.

that miller vs henderson fight should be a good one as well. henderson was on fire against bocek. hell, miller vs henderson should be the main event that night. but for the main event i guess we will have to watch hardy get ko'ed again

MMA fans are fickle. Guida has been in 2 fights of the year and fight of the night 4 times.

3 fights of the year IMO.

OK you must be thinking of GSP, not Miller. Diego beat the living shite out of Guida and still barely won the fight.

One thing that goes overlooked about Guida is that he can take a shot to the head from a crowbar and still keep moving forward. Dana once said the same thing about Liddell. Trust me, I'm not comparing the two.

he finished that fight because Dos Anjos jaw was hurt. Its probably more from Dos Anjos not drinking milk than the power of pillow hands Guida. And finishing washed up Gomi and Shannon Gugerty is really huge. I think Pettis is Guida's first top 10 win ever. Its bad when Ben Askren tweets that you are a blanket who doesnt even try to pass guard.

So I assume Tim will be getting a 60 day suspension, but I still think he will get a fight in New Orleans... I'd give him Kendall Grove, anybody else have thoughts on who they should match him with.

All I'm saying he's not Jon Fitch and he's a hell of a lot more entertaining than Edgar and Maynard
