Claire Chennault was an LSU Tiger before he led the Flying Tigers. Flying Tiger alternate unis would be great for an LSU Salutes game one day but doubt it will ever happen. Nice to see Monroe honoring Claire and the Flying Tigers.

I think the reason they went with Warhawks after they scrapped the Indian was they could go both ways with either the actual hawk or the the plane.

ULM/NLU (yes, I'm showing my age and preferences) should still be the Indians. My alma mater changed BOTH it's name and mascot, yet the alumni association still asks me for $$$.
There's also a Claire Chennault Aviation Museum in Monroe.
