After the resignation of Scott McDonald ULM has promoted Seth Hall(34, 2010 ULM Track/Cross Country and Business Alum) from his position as Chief Strategy officer to the interim athletic director. ULM hopes to have a permanent AD in place by January.

On a personal note im pretty dang excited for this. Seth was instrumental in giving me an opportunity to compete in college and coached me for a semester. He's an amazing human with deep roots in Monroe. Nobody loves and understands ULM like Seth. If he sticks to being fair but firm this could work out really well.

No one seemed to love ULM more than Seth.

Hope he takes the job full time has the enthusiasm and work ethic needed to make a big difference.

Obviously no one is a bigger Warhawk then him which helps a lot as well

Hope it works out for him. Same can and was said about Scott. He cares more for ULM than anyone I've ever seen. It's a black hole.

Im not gonna lie there is a small part of me that is worried he gets exposed to shite over the next few months that zaps some of his enthusiasm for the university. Theres a reason that job has been a revolving door the last few years.

Ah dang. I'd get why people that dont know him wouldnt be overly excited about the move. If you know him this has alot of potential.

I mean its a combination of things. I pin alot of it on President Bruno being empathetic to athletics while focusing on building up the academic side of the university. He did a good job on that front but it caused us to fall way behind in a time when there were huge investments made in athletics. Now we're even further behind then we already were trying to play catchup.

On a related note, does ULM stay within 39.5 against UT?

Yeah, I do think ULM is underrated on academics. But damn, If my memory is worth a shite, I thought ULM was competitive in most sports back in the 80's? Maybe I'm thing Tech, but I thought ULM had some teams across the sports that played well. I ain't talking champions, but you know mid range national compete.

This could actually be huge. Scott McDonald was a local banker in Monroe who they hired to be AD all because he played baseball and was buddies with Bruno. Hopefully this brings some better days.

For all of us that know Seth, this is a tremendous hire for ULM, even if this stays at an interim basis.

no they were. Like i said athletics got deemphasized at a time when they were hyper emphasized nationwide. When youre a havenot in the ncaa athletics world you cant afford periods like that if you want to remain competitive. We're just now starting to get caught up to where similar sized universities were 10+ years ago.

I damn sure hope so. That was the first bet I made when lines came out. I think ULM is better than that plus Sark probably spent all summer working on Bammer

And taking Auburn into OT that same year, and played Baylor a great game as well.

Last year was an improvement as we won 4 and played several more close.
