its a tournament for teams who weren't good enough to get into the NCAA tournament, NIT, or CBI. It's like playing for 133rd place

And you have to pay to play in it, a waste of time and money

I wasn't saying they were any good. I was just saying I've heard of them.

I've heard of probably 95% of them, just bolded the obvious ones.

I could be wrong, but I think you only have to pay to host a game.

I thought they were the same until yesterday.

CBI = College Basketball Invitational
CIT = College Insiders Tournament

Not 100% certain, but as a USL Alum, I would have turned down the invitation.

OK, I admit I only glanced at the teams quickly. Yes I've heard of these universities. Good luck to the Cajuns. As I stated, I think looking at the field more closely, they can bring home the trophy!

Harsh. What bid did Tech get last year? What bid did the Cajuns get last year? What was the score of the head to head match-up this year?

Good job.

I don't care at all about this game, but seriously? There's no reason to turn down an opportunity to play more basketball and get more experience. Especially when you have a fairly young team like we do.

I've read that the CIT and CBI and pay for play tournaments in that the teams have to pay and hope they make up for it with their gate.

Well that explains why LSU never plays in these tournaments. I feel it's a good thing to give these teams a chance to continue playing. A little tournament atmosphere can't hurt.
