Still odd that a week after the NFL adopts XFL kickoff rules, that the UFL has a kickoff that resembles the old NFL rule, but here we are.

I think UFL will adopt it next season for sure.

Arlington drives inside the Birmingham 20 before the Stallions defense forces a Luis Perez fumble.

Nice throw from Matt Corral to Jace Sternberger moves the Stallions inside the Renegade's 45 yard line.

And now Corral throws a pick, but wasn’t his fault. Hit WR in hands who tipped it up and picked

The ball hit the receiver and bounced off of him into the hands of a DB, and the announcer calls it an ill-advised throw.

Tough for these leagues to gain traction this time of year. Opening weekend for MLB and NCAA tourney still going on.

So far, I've watched more UFL than I have of the last ten MLB and NCAA tourneys combined.

...and the UFL has existed for about six minutes.

Ya last year, the XFL/USFL (pre merger to UFL) averaged about 700k viewers per game which is very solid.

With 31 of 43 games his year on either Fox or ABC I expect the number to go up. 10 will be on ESPN and 1 each on ESPN2/FS1.

So good distribution that should lead to good viewership

No idea if there's an issue with the field or with the cleats, but players appear to be slipping all over the place.

One thing they need is fixed game times on each network.

This morning I set a reminder in my cable to alert me whenever the Stallions are playing.

Another Arlington drive stalls inside the Stallions' 20-yard line, but this time Taylor Russolino converts the Field Goal to give the Renegades a 3-0 lead.

Watching it now.....any kind of football is better than watching women play basketball, even if it’s LSU.

Best Birmingham drive of the afternoon results in a 27-yard FG from Chris Blewitt, who has an awful name for a field goal kicker.

I thought UFL had the XFL kickoff but I guess not.

No portal
No NIL
No woke crap on the field that I've seen so far
No ban on the hip drop tackle

Might be watchable.

In the merged league they adopted the USFL kickoff. I’d guess next year they will change to the new NFL me assuming it works out this year and NFL keeps it

That TruLine graphic that showed the runner was five inches short of the first down was pretty cool.
