The heavy weight class has no challengers right now. Virtually everyone, but Werdum, Hunt and Struve have recent losses.
In order for Silva to have a shot, he's got to be aggressive. Against Cain, Cormier, and The first part of Overrem he was extremely passive. When he pushes the fight, like against Fedor, Arlovski, Browne, and 3rd rd against AO, he's successful. He has the skill set, he just needs to up the momentum.

Vitor vs Rockhold announced for likely #1 contender status. Vitor is one of my favorite fighters, but would love to see what Rockhold can do vs Anderson.

I am not sure why Dana is trying to bring Weidman along so slow, maybe he is afraid that he will beat Anderson and ruin the potential superfights with GSP and Bones.

I actually think the vitor vs silva would have been good if he wouldn't have got front kicked a minute in just my opinion tho. And hopefully if Poirier wins he will get lamas or guida with a shot at Aldo next that would put his UFC record at 5-1 hard to hate
