Hopefully Silva's return isn't a dud. He looks relatively out of shape in that promo video they've been running. Out of shape + ring rust + mental hurdle of snapping his leg in half = letdown?

I dont think you can judge someone's physical conditioning from a 7 minute video that show him throwing a few punches which was just spectable?

No, it's the tv ad for the event. He just looks a lot fluffier than ever. I'm sure the promo was shot a while ago, though, so maybe he's gotten lighter since.

Yeah man those are shot kind of advance. For instance the jones Cormier fight Daniel was probably 225-235 and he looked out of shape. So I wouldn't sweat it. I'm watching the UFC countdown and ray longo is fatter than ever

I will say that Silva was never a roided up "specimen" like a lot of the MW and LHW division has been for a while. So, this doesn't rule out a big showing. I do wonder about the leg. His leg kicks have always been such a weapon, and I sure as hell would have a little pause throwing them like he has in the past after that injury.

It's kind of a running joke inside the ufc. They don't bother you with photoshoots and media appearances fight week or while training for the most part, but a month after your fight they will want to update your pics.

The big babes obviously have their press conference, but other than that they want you comfortable. The only reason you are there so early is to make sure they can keep tabs on your weight and make sure they have all licensing and stuff taken care of.
