Alistair Overeem vs. Walt Harris
Claudia Gadelha vs. Angela Hill (Split)
Dan Ige vs. Edson Barboza (Split)
Eryk Anders vs. Krzysztof Jotko (Unanimous)
Song Yadong vs. Marlon Vera (Unanimous)

Prelims

Matt Brown vs. Miguel Baeza (Knockout)
Anthony Hernandez vs. Kevin Holland (Knockout)
Giga Chikadze vs. Irwin Rivera (Unanimous)
Cortney Casey vs. Mara Romero Borella (Submission)
Darren Elkins vs. Nate Landwehr (Unanimous)
Rodrigo Nascimento vs. Don'Tale Mayes (Submission)

Will be interesting to see Walt Harris in his first fight since his daughter was murdered. Overeem is going to have his hands full with a determined Harris.

Also, ESPN is showing a Tom Rinaldi interview with Harris on SC Featured at 12 PM ET tomorrow.

LINK

quote:

“When I wrapped my part of the day, I got into my car and I cried,” Rinaldi said. “I wouldn’t do that in front of Walt. I called Danny Arruda [producer] because I was very shaken. Walt had shared the effects of the random, awful way he lost his child, and I hope the power of that comes across in the piece.

quote:

“That was her. When he shared that with us, he got up from the interview, walked to the far end of the gym, grabbed the cage, and wept uncontrollably. The sounds were as wrenching as you could ever hear another person make.”

Rinaldi is a characature at this point. I actually despise him and ESPN for exploiting other peoples' misery and suffering so much.

Feel so bad for Walt, I couldn’t imagine going thru what he went thru and doing it with as much class and dignity as he did.

I've always thought it would be just to tie the murderer's arms behind his back and let Walt get in the Octagon with him for 5 minutes. I would suggest longer, but I don't think it would even take him five to get the job done

You think Walt is feeling exploited by having his daughter's story told?
Some of the takes I read here man.

Yeah Rinaldi can be over the top, but these features give people a voice, give us the people watching some perspective, and have helped multiple charities over the years.

Any chance Overeem retires tonight?

Hard to beat the Cejudo retirement though.

Feel like Harris will have the strength and courage of 10 men in the octagon...
He won’t be fighting alone tonight ...

I hope so. I like the rheem but will be rooting for Walt Harris tonight. He seems like a stand up guy and a true role model for everyone.

I can't believe Overeem is only 39. He's been around so long that Chuck Liddell knocked him out.

Very appropriate that a dude fricking nicknamed the train is walking forward with his hands down and screaming

I turned it on right when they were announcing the results and my first thought was "Well, I know who won that one"
