funny thing is, a win over Belcher is probably the biggest win of Bisping's career. He has lost every single fight he has had against top guys (Rashad, Hendo, Vitor, Chael, Wanderlei). All of his semi-big wins in MW have been guys who pretty much fell off the map with more losses later. Stann, Mayhem, Dan Miller, Akiyama, Denis Kang. For a guy who has been a name and a "contender" for a long time, he gets mostly guys a notch or 3 below him to build him up as the great white British hope and then every time they ramp him up to a solid guy for a no.1 contender fight, he loses.

Bones will win via submission in the 2nd round after having destroyed Sonnen with elbows and knees in the 1st round.
As to GSP, I don't blame him for shying away from the Silva fight. To that point, to me the much more intriguing fight is Jones v Silva.
Silva has fought at 205. Jones fights at 205. They both have odd or unique skill sets. Put it in Madison Square Garden (if approved in NY) and have the biggest fight in UFC history.
If Jones wins, maybe in another year, let him move up and fight Cain if Cain still has the belt.

I believe Bones said that he trains with Silva and would never fight him.

he doesn't so that would be a weird thing to say

I'm hearing they won't fight each other because they are both African-American.....
Wait for it
Wait for it

But Anderson isn't black, he's Brazilian.....

Jones trains at Jackson MMA and Silva trains at blackhouse. They don't want to fight each other bc they are friends.

how many times do you think they've hung out?

Enough to make an excuse not to fight each other.

So, are Peyton Manning and Eli able to refuse to play each other because they are brothers? Justine Verlander going to refuse to pitch to Pujols because they are friends?
If MMA wants to be taken serious as a SPORT, then the friend deal has to stop. It is beyond absurd to me to hear one of them say such a thing, even with the recognition of the emotional component of a combat sport.

Peyton and Eli don't get paid to knock each other unconscious.

All dark skinned people are African-Americans
This includes Usain Bolt, Anderson Silva, and Jose Reyes

Team sport...
I agree with you in a sense, especially if a title is on the line. The goal of the sport is to win the title, not make friends. I think that just having two guys that train with each other fight is silly. There are far too many fighters in the UFC to make teams fight. I think its easily avoidable Except in title eliminators and title fights.

Fair enough. I think the general public...the uneducated MMA passer-by, will view Jones and Silva refusing to fight as more professional wrestling mentality than major professional sport mentality.
To that point, the novice fan is what separates boxing paydays from MMA paydays. Jones is a much more exciting fighter than Floyd Mayweather. Jones probably banked about $15m last year and Floyd banked $85m.
