Well, one of them is 3,000 miles from home so what they brought is what they brought.

Can't say I'm a fan of it - but the concept of opposing teams wearing contrasting colors doesn't appear to apply in baseball, especially recently. White vs. gray is the historical standard, but dark vs. dark has become more and more common.

In the age of HD and 4K, I don’t mind both teams wearing colors instead of gray or white. But there should be a rule that the colors contrast. Navy vs. black is not enough of a contrast.

Are you not familiar with baseball?

Home team can wear a dark jersey. Typically with white pants though, like Stanford is doing now.

I was wondering the same thing OP.

Honestly Stanford's jerseys look like shite with the black. Stick with red and white

Grey vs. Gray was the historical standard.

Baseball has never had a hangup about color contrasting like football because it's not important. The game moves at a snail's pace and they're not having to pick out players to call penalties every 10 seconds.

It is baseball. There is about 5 minutes of actual action over the course of 3 hours. Not much of which involves the players being in fast moving close contact with each other unlike football, basketball, etc

The rest question should be, why isn't the Cardinal wearing these? Black shouldn't be in Stanford's rotation of uniforms.
