The victim accompanied 20-year-old Adam Searl to a nearby residence, fell asleep and awoke to discover him sexually assaulting her, police said in a press release.
He was taken into custody on campus Thursday following an exhaustive investigation and later released after posting $300,000 bail.
Searl punted at Irvine High School prior to his arrival at UCLA.
"We have been informed of the situation involving Adam Searl, and we take these accusations very seriously," said UCLA head football coach Jim Mora. "Adam has been suspended from the team indefinitely while the legal process runs its course. Due to the ongoing police investigation, we are unable to discuss this matter further at this time."

Roosh V made a good point on his blog the other day - this SJW "rape" culture is so overboard that single guys really do need to start surreptitiously recording sexual encounters to protect themselves.

I will hold off until we get the whole story. Could be legit rape or could be a regret turned to "rape"

I'm not taking sides either way here. That being said, rape is an incredibly traumatic experience and I don't think the year is indicative one way or the other.

Ruining reputations yes, straight to jail, usually no. I won't disagree with you that the burden of proof for the court of public opinion is sadly lacking most of the time. It is especially lagging in this regard.
