My issue is the J is completely unrecognizable. I don't have a better design, but surely someone at UA could have done better than an S formed by two mirrored Js that no one would notice unless you told them they are there.

ETA: Apparently stating the obvious gets you downvotes

No shite. That logo doesn't have any J's IMO.

I agree with both points that the J's are unrecognizable and that the S closely resembles LSU's S in Geaux Font.

The J's are recognizable. The design just looks lazy

Good eye. That's too close to LSU's S.

Only because you know this is Jordan Spieth's logo. If that same logo was just randomly posted with no information, you'd have not noticed them.

Here are examples of good logos where both letters are clear.

Adam Scott

Tiger Woods

Hunter Mahan

Justin Rose

Hell, even Sergio Garcia's is more obvious than Spieth's

What does it matter if you knew it belonged to him before you saw it? Is not knowing a requirement for cool logos?

It's not recognizable at all. No one is going to know what some random S stands for. The J's are too subtle for it to be a good logo.
