I wonder if the Mavs are just absorbing him with cap space and sending virtually nothing back.

So they're basically admitting they shouldn't have let him walk in 2011

I think they admitted that a long time ago.

Good deal for the Mavs even though they have to take Felton. I like Larkin... maybe he becomes a player for them.

He is past his prime but Chandler is the main reason the Mavs won it all in 2011

He was definitely a key and they needed him to solidify their defense or they wouldn't have won, but Dirk was still the main reason

I can see why Dallas does this, as they can put Dirk and Chandler together as a front court while pitching LeBron, Melo, etc., to play the 3 for them.

However, why the Hell do the Knicks do this? They expecting it to be impossible to dump Amare so they're clearing minutes for him instead? Shane Larkin's interesting but not shown to be worth what they paid for him.

How is this a good trade for the Mavs? Seems to me that NYK gets the better pieces in the deal of calderon and larkin

Don't see how this is a good deal for Dallas either, Knicks are obviously trying to dump $ with this move

Calderon's not that good. His defense is atrocious and he's not a great fit next to Monta Ellis.

Because it fits what they're looking for.
