Not a huge fan of Rodgers show, but this is worth the listen as he goes off on his former boss Jim Rome and they do a mock smackoff
smackoff on a mobile
Adam Clanton nails the rome impersonation

Heard it and it's 10 times better than the actual Smackoff.

Same here. I just thought he left for his own gig. Sounds like there is more to the story.

same here but its clear he was fired after he and Rome did not see eye to eye. HE is exposing all of the behind the scenes stuff about Rome's show. Talking about how he wrote manhy of the emails and what not from "clones"

shite was epic!
I actually got a text from a friend about the real smackoff and put it on during my lunch break. I had to turn that shite off after hearing two idiots trying too hard to sound cool.
Then I heard the podcast of "smackoff on a mobile" later in the day and couldn't stop listening.

Clanton does a better Jim Rome than Caliendo

I always wondered why Willie in KC got banned. I know he made a jewish joke and Rome is jewish but I never heard the actual call that got him banned. Willie was funny though.

I love how rodgers is narrating basically talking about how when Rome says that all of the smack off invitees won't get in, he's full of bs because at most they had maybe 1 caller call in at a time an would often have to beg the callers to get in.
He also basically called out rome for pimping things like nascar, horse racing, etc...things he once derided all for the sake of money.

Didn't know they had such an acrimonious split. That's surprising considering the type of relationship they seemed to have in the past. I haven't listened to Rome on a regular basis in over 5 years but I remember when Rome celebrated Travis being with him for 10 years and they seemed to be really close. Rome's wife even called in and spoke glowingly of Travis on a personal level. I wonder what could have happened between the two.
