amy shumer getting a lead in a rom com is a bigger shock
i like amy shumer but she's not THAT pretty/cute and her comedy doesn't translate in any way to romcoms

i'd just have to imagine that if she has a romantic interest, she's not going to be actually acting very slutty in the movie...and if she's hanging out with the guy, i doubt she gets into it much. there is just a clear saturation point...or should be

Maybe, but Hollywood has a tendency to overdo that kind of thing. Almost as if pushing the envelope is the entire point of the movie instead of entertaining the audience.
South Park can pull it off but most shows and movies can't.
