No it doesn't. Overpaid sure, but that doesn't change the skill of a player.

He's not nearly as bad as your irrational posts insinuate. Perspective is a good thing to to have; your posts are lacking it.

well, a 5-5 team beat a 8-2 team yet no one seemed to care.

just made me laugh because this board is full of posters who swear college football is better than pro ball.

just wondering where all those fans were to support the Duke-UNC football game.

lol.

He's 16th in QBR and 13th in passer rating. He's an average QB but no where near terrible. Continuously saying he is terrible is just irrational.

Objectively? Nope.

I'm never going to agree with your opinion, he is terrible, get over it.

It's not as much of an opinion when stats indicate that he is an average QB. So if your opinion completely contradicts facts, and you refuse to acknowledge that it is irrational (for whatever reason), then you show that you can't make an informed judgement. I'm going to guess that this isn't the first time, and it won't be the last. It's entertaining nonetheless.

Really? Zero passing touchdowns this year to WR's, the only stat I need to see. People that buy into stats and act like they are the end all be all in sports are just annoying, a lot more than just stats to a player buddy you should learn that.

He is still terrible.

When the objective stats completely contradict a subjective judgement, you can either admit that the hyperbolic nature of your judgement is flawed or attempt to minimize the objective statistics. A rational individual wouldn't try to completely minimize the stats in this situation. So I wouldn't be surprised if your Alex Smith judgement is just one of many examples of your subjectivity completely contradicts objectivity. So either you need to be paid millions by an organization because you can see what others can't, or your completely off-base.

So the stats that measure the overall efficiency of QBs indicate that he is average, but since he hasn't thrown a passing TD to a WR (Nevermind the receivers' role in that), he must be terrible? Not average or even below average, but terrible?
