Why would he leave UCLA if he is doing well? I feel bad for Sarkisian. I thought he would have done better there.

Mora is a hardcore UW guy. He got in a lot of hot water for saying that he would leave the Atlanta Falcons in the middle of a playoff run to take the job at Washington. He still lives right across the lake from Husky Stadium in Bellevue.

That being said, Sarkisian had a MAJOR rebuilding job to do. If he doesn't get more than 7 wins, then his job will be on notice and next year will be the big make it or break it year. If he's able to get 9 or more, then I would expect an extension. I don't see any way he's fired after this year though unless he completely flops.

Keith Price is a stud. Hope he bounces back.

I hope so too. He was a top 10 QB in the country as a Soph and completely lost it last year. I'm hoping he returns to form and has a big Senior season. With the defense being turned around, if Keith has a big year I would expect us to hit the 9 win mark.

Didn't realize Mora was a big UW guy. I'm still not sold on UCLA. I understand they have some young talent, but Mora's been there just a little while. I'll wait and see with them.

I'm surprised you think Sark is safe even with 7 wins. I think he should get another year considering the circumstances, but I thought this was the year for him.

Any truth to the rumors that Lee injured himself again today?

Ehhh...poor offensive line play really hurt him last year. He's a very good QB. If he can get just a little better O-line play, then Price can make some noise this season.

Played for UW, coached at UW under Don James, grew up in Seattle, and his dad coached for UW. I agree with not being sold on him yet though. I'm still in wait and see mode as well, but he started out pretty good.

This is the first year that we actually have depth on the roster which is huge. I should clarify and say that 7 is the absolute bare minimum, but that puts him on an incredibly hot seat.

If he does get fired, I would guess that we would either promote the defensive staff and make Wilcox the head coach (went from 106 in total defense to 31 in one year under him) and then let him hire an offensive guru or go after Mora.

yeah I know what you mean. I'm curious to see if your new QB makes your fan base miss Barkley or forget about him.

We'll see. He's never been anything special versus any team with a pulse(that Baylor game doesn't count).

Honestly, USC needs to worry about playing defense. I think Wittek gets the nod, and the offense will be good enough. That defense was average last season, and USC can't afford that.
