Notre Dames offensive and defensive efficiency stats were top 5 for both units.

no other team did that saturday, and as such, their deserved ranking.

only peasants would leave off advanced metrics when making a poll.

Ohio State has the biggest pussy schedule ever. 1 team ranked in top 25 (Mich St) and they looked like shite against a nobody.

dude, Texas straight sucks.

Stop looking at their name and look at the product on the field. Their offense is just as putrid as last year and their defense lost damn near everyone worth a flip. They will probably only win 4 or 5 games this year.

its still a P5 win, which few other teams have (after the first week) - and ND had the most dominate performance over any P5 school.

not worth #1, but certainly top #4, if we are making a poll for one weeks worth of football (which is a truly stupid idea in the first place)

South Dakota St. has a road win from the same conference. They're just outside my top 4.

FBS or not, a win over a team that will likely not make a bowl (which is insanely hard to do these days) is not worthy of a top 4 ranking.

Sorry, it just isn't. If Wake Forest beat the piss out of Kansas week 1 in the same fashion would you say they were worthy of a top 4 for beating a P5? I highly doubt it.

texas is obviously bad, but they still have 4 and 5 star guys across the roster.

ND gutted them - i highly doubt they will get smashed that bad the rest of the year.

this is the most talented, veteran, and deep ND roster since 1993.

they will compete for a playoff spot this year and I never hype them up - if healthy they are for real.

They got wrecked like that multiple times last year and that was when they had much better overall defensive and offensive talent.

LSU opened up against McNeese State and couldn't even score on them.

Sounds good, lets do $100 - do you have paypal, i can also do google wallet or square.

might I add ND beat Texas by 35 and the longhorns didnt even turn the ball over. It was a massacre.

Anyways, $100 sounds good to me

Y'all need to set the rules up for this bet.

For example, does a team have to beat Texas by 35 points exactly? Do they have to dominate the game w/o creating a turnover? Are they only allowed to score three points or is the spread more important?

Again, not sure why you think a Texas team that on paper is absolutely worse than last year won't get dominated like that again when it happened to them multiple times last season.

vs BYU lost 41-7
vs KSU lost 23-0
vs TCU lost 48-10
vs Arky lost 31-7

They were completely embarrassed in all four of those games just as they were w/ND.
