too many sad stories on College Gameday

yeah I get it. There can be inspirational stories about people beating diseases. I feel bad for people who are sick and who die in accidents and their families.

But, so many of us have had personal experiences with those bad things. I like how Les Miles and LSU fans reached out to sick children and teens.

But, I really get tired of seeing these sad stories on game day. There must be two or three per show.

Yeah I get it people like sad and inspirational stories, but I have to say so many of us had experienced these things personally and have seen enough of them.

Sorry if this pisses you off, but stories like this get to me personally.

Can't you have more happy and positives things on game day.

Completely agree.

There's a time and place for it, but this isn't it.

It is even worse if you're there in person.

Everyone awkwardly claps and cheers after the story is over.

Seconded. I watch football on Saturday for a release. Not to be beaten over the head with sad stories specifically designed to make me feel bad.

Agreed. It's like when athletes make it big, they have to share how hard they had it. You have to think some of that is exaggerated.

Why do you want Tom Rinaldi to lose his job? What did he ever do to you?

Yeah, I'm not a fan of them either. It bums me out hearing those sad stories.

These stories make you reflect on life... and there is certainly a time and place for that.

But when on Saturday I turn on college football, I'm on a different wavelength. I want to get jacked up watching football and enjoy myself. Not think about the tough realities of the world at that moment.

No one wants to watch it. It was awesome when ESPN would do it here and there, but now it's every week. Par for the course with ESPN

I actually enjoy the stories. Nothing wrong with shedding some tears for a few minutes.

It is the reason I stopped watching GameDay. Went downhill when they went to 3 hours, so they needed these to fill time.
