I mean, that's all the tape they need to watch to see how "ready" he is...he just might not be.

It was more he was sure he would go to san diego than he was sure he would go 11.

Then you put San Diego in spot 1 or 2. You don't pick the player 11th.

The problem I have with Te'o is that i simply don't think he's that good. He's pedestrian against good competition. Plain and simple...zero explosiveness in his abilities. Tell me one thing he does better than anyone? (besides date imaginary women)

Clap and raise his hands with explosiveness when the play isn't going on?

In all seriousness, you have to compare him to another A/PI linebacker...DAT NGUYEN.

If Dat was a 3rd rounder, then Te'o sure as hell isn't a 1st rounder.

It wasn't just ESPN, bro. NFL Network was doing the same thing.

Thank you. After hearing how amazing NFL Network was I chose to watch it for the draft. Highly disappointed.

No he didn't

He got played.
just so happen to be in a VERY public setting. Give me a fricking break.

Over. Reaction. A silly one at that. I couldn't help but laugh at the ridiculous attention that whole story turned out to be.

I'll even add....

I think, as long as I've been alive and watching sports, that whole Te'o story was the biggest overreaction in sports history. Ever. I've never seen something so insignificant warrant so much attention.

Not an overreaction at all. That "story" netted him SEVEN College Football postseason awards in which far more deserving players were denied:

Butkus - Jarvis Jones
Bednarik - Jadeveon Clowney/Jarvis Jones/Damontre Moore
Lombardi - Jadeveon Clowney/Damontre Moore
Maxwell - Johnny Manziel
Lott - Jadeveon Clowney/Jarvis Jones/Damontre Moore
Bednarik - Jadeveon Clowney/Jarvis Jones
Walter Camp - Johnny Manziel

What's hilarious is seeing the media trash Geno when they heard he wasn't going to show up today, when their Golden Boy Teo didn't have the stones to show up at all.

So he won all those awards for helping some dying girl.

Had nothing to do with football.

Cry. Cry. Cry. Cry. Cry.

Being at Notre Dame helped him net those awards. As much as you guys don't want to admit, the media still thinks VERY highly of ND. Now that they were back in the NCG when they wasn't supposed to be, they had to prop someone up on that team.

No one else but Te'o was good enough to prop.

Spare me the girl story.

I disagree. I actually don't think enough was made of it by the traditional media. As soon as the story broke, every college football writer went in all out protect Teo mode.

You mean to tell me the stud player on a high profile football team resorted to an online relationship? No thanks. Kid has some issues if that's the case. Plus his skill set isn't that good.

OT.It is in my humble opinion that Kiper doesn't know his arse from a jar of grape jelly. He wanted the Bears to take a tight end with all the o-line problems they have. He thought Smith was a first rounder, not to mention Teo. Does anyone have a Kiper vs who gets drafted comparison mock. I bet it's not close.
