Not sure why anyone is questioning Tebow on this. It's America. Capitalism. Stacking Dollars.

If you want to question someone, it's the either a. bible thumpers who can't get enough of Baby J or b. A UF fan who can't get enough Baby J.

Those are the people who deserve scorn if you feel that way. I don't care, it's other people's money

WTH are you talking about? My only two takes on that whole shite show was that A)It was done purely for attention by him and B) Anyone granting him that attention was as big an a-hole as he is.

None of that has anything to do with Tebow's need for attention...you realize that, right? What else would you call the kneeling down and making a giant show of that during his playing days? If it was some Muslim athlete lying prostrate on the ground and bowing towards Mecca after each score, America would lose their collective fricking minds at him hijacking the game to proselytize his stupid faith. But...since most share Tebow's, it's cool.

As for what he does with his time and wealth, good on him. Really. While I happen to think that religious folks find bad reasons to do good work when good reasons already exist, I don't fault the work. Like Trump rolling down to LA a couple of weeks ago post flood. Total PR move, right? Can we admit that? But...he did do some good in that he brought needed goods, so it can be both about attention AND also do some good.

Problem with too many Tebow apologists are that they simply refuse to see that the guy DOES act in a way that purposefully shines the light on himself...

Oh no, someone making money from their name, the horror!!!! What matters is how these folks, who make money, carry themselves within their real life. I'm guessing Tim Tebow does good things, and if he doesn't, he's a rotten person. Right? I wouldn't think how he makes his money carries to much weight to who Tebow is, does it?

I suppose because we all need money, we're sorry SOB's.

Tebow might be the biggest attention whore we've seen in athletics in a while. I'm so glad he sucked in the NFL.

If the dude didn't have the religious cover we'd be able to rip him to shreds, but because he's all holier than thou you look like a dick for doing it.

He's probably a better person than me, but he's also 1000x the attention whore douche I am.

My critique is more with the idea of "celebrity" being a job. This Kardashian/Tebow bullshite is such nonsense. Like someone said, he's basically one of the Laguna Beach clowns just making money because he's famous. That's not a job, that's a drain on our society and an indictment of how idiotic people are these days.

You have a trade, a skill that you utilize to provide services to customers. Tebow does not.

The guy played in the NFL and worked at ESPN. Now he's trying to play baseball. What's the problem? He doesn't need to get a real job, anyone in his position would be doing the same shite.

This just isn't true. It's laughable that you're comparing him to the Kardashians.

100%. And some posters in this thread think calling him out on being the attention whore that he is somehow takes away from the good deeds that he does. Face it, the dude is an attention whore. That doesn't take away from his good deeds.

Hell, I rooted for him for a while in the NFL. Now he's just too much.

People already do rip him to shreds. If he were really an attention whore we'd hear from him way more often. ESPN's incessant coverage of whatever he does may make him look like an attention seeker but I don't see it that way

Do you think it's just an accident that Tebow gets an insane amount of sports coverage despite the fact that he was a complete bust in the NFL?

ESPN chooses to do so because it makes them money. So to make you happy, Tebow needs to either kill himself, or become an accountant and go in hiding. Do you realize how ridiculous you and your Clemson cronie are sounding?
