Some of the penalties called in this game and this season are really, reeeaaalllyyy bad. Fricking terrible.

I'm still far from being pissed off enough to stop watching, but I'm closer than I was three years ago. NFL officiating is OOC.

I never start watching a sport if I think the rules are stupid. I don't know why I continue to watch a sport that has horrible rules.

NFL officiating really has gone done hill and this isn't in reference to that last TD. Just something I have noticed over the season thus far.

Think Den got calls in the 49ers game too. NFL wants Peyton to be the champ.

That's what a skeptic would think at least.

Many, many years ago Hank Stram said the zebras could call a penalty on every play if they chose to do so.

Nothing has changed.

Yes, the picks are obvious sometimes. But TBH, the last thing the NFL needs is more penalties.

Except that they call more penalties.

Fwiw, they've been CRUSHING New England with those calls this year. Poor Danny Amendola has had like 200 yards called back.

Wrong. Literally everyone who has ever worked with Philip Rivers has only good things to say about him.

How does it make sense to tack on illegal contact penalties to the end of a play?

Always has been.

And if he isn't, he sure presents himself as one.

He loves playing football, and he gets excited and competitive. A lot of people think that makes him a douchebag. I see a devout Catholic who has seven kids with one woman who he met in 7th grade and teammates and coaches who love him. Doesn't seem like a douchebag to me.

He certainly acts like one on the field.
