Thoughts on Michael Lombardi?

Was listening to his GM Shuffle podcast at the gym, and I know the dude is a homer for the Patriots and has a soft spot for the Raiders with his time there, but I love that this dude doesn’t mince words and will callout absolutely anyone.
He just eviscerated the Falcons for the article on why they passed on Belichik. It’s awesome seeing a guy like him who has the contacts and connections but has also had enough success that he DGAF or sugarcoat things tell you what’s really going on. So much better than most of the talking heads who try to be friends to all or who aren’t willing to put their name or rep behind a quote.
He just eviscerated the Falcons for the article on why they passed on Belichik. Oh so he killed the team the interviewed one of his best friends multiple times and didn't hire him which was probably embarrassing for the friend?
I think Raheem Morris sucks and I'd still probably rather him be my head coach in 2024.

Pretty much.
He has well-traveled career in the league though. Worked under Bill Walsh, Cleveland in the early 90's before Modell decided to sell the team, worked for Al Davis and the Raiders and they had some good teams during his stint, worked with Belichick again for three years 2014-2016.
I thought his rant on the Falcons front office was right though. I don't always agree with what he says but respect his opinion because he doesn't hold back.

He wasn’t advocating for them to hire him. He was evicerating their process and rationale, which was terrible.
He just destroyed them again on the Penix pick. Hilarious.

I’m in the middle of his book “Football Done Right”, and let’s just say the Falcons aren’t doing football right.
Lombardi is an encyclopedia of football knowledge and has absorbed that by being immersed with some big time football royalty. He’s old school but he’s right on many predictions.
