Look at it this way. With these new clock rules, LSU beats Alabama in 2012 and 2014.

I think the rule is if a player goes out of bounds the clock still stops but starts again once the ball is placed. Similar to the old first down rule.

Sorry baw. Got to get more commercials in.

I actually turned off the Florida game because of this.

Was excited to watch football....

The commercials are fricking ridiculous.

The first down stop clock rule no longer applies?

And more people need to turn off the games. Never start them.

Of course, with the way corporations such as Disney have been responding to diminishing revenue, the NCAA will probably respond by changing the rules again to piss more people off.

It used to be that you could get out of bounds and extend the game now you can’t.

The get out of bounds and the clock stops rule was changed a while back in CFB.

I actually don’t hate it. They’ve just applied the NFL rules.

Or pre-1968 rules except for the last 2 minutes. People ranting like rules have always been this way in college when in fact they haven't. Rules change all the time. Just roll with it. They will change again if it is warranted.

The clock stopped when a player advanced the ball out of bounds with under 5 minutes left in both halfs. Now it’s changed to under 2 minutes.

Teams that get hot late are screwed

Here's a novel concept, don't wait until the game is 90% over to start playing good.

Next time get hot earlier. Too many plays are being run in college football. It feels like HUNH teams are getting 5 quarters of plays stuffed in 4 quarters of football.

That's been the rule since like 2005

Rules don’t apply for final 2 mins

Why do y’all keep saying this when we are still losing 2-3 minutes of game time?

The clock stopping at 2 minutes wouldn’t have changed the fact that the new rules would have instantly ended Tulane’s comeback vs USC last year.

So many comebacks would have ended w/the new rules. LSU v A&M in ‘21, A&M v LSU in ‘18, UCLA v A&M in ‘17, A&M v Duke in ‘13… those are just a few A&M games in the last decade off the top of my head.
