Even if I was super millionare rich I doubt I would spend 15K on a fricking basketball game..... If I had that much money I would have a 90 inch Samsung to watch it at home on....

Not a shock, GS is basically the 80s Lakers or the Knicks if they ever become elite again-- one of the two or three richest areas in the country with a generational team.

Think about if you're making a 1m-1.5m a year-- so not even a top level tech guy but say a good VP or a lucky app developer who sold at the right time and you have a chance to see a team you'll tell your kids about you do it.

How much would you have paid to watch the Showtime Lakers basically courtside at their peak?

Plus realistically there's a decent chance this is Warriors final home game of the year.

Assuming "super rich millionaire" you mean someone worth, say, $50MM? Those $30k tickets are equivalent to $60 for someone that makes $100k.

In 2 years that TV is worth 2 grand, whereas you'd have been able to say you witnessed history first hand.

Good seats at live sports are almost always worth it if you can afford it-- hell I had back of the arena seats to Watch Dame hit the shot to beat Houston a few years back and that was awesome. Last weekend I went to a seemingly meaningless Royals game and saw the greatest comeback in the teams history-- the feel in the air when something unprecedented happens is amazing-- as is the crowd just leaving the stadium.

I mean unfortunately most of Florida's great football moments have been epic blowouts (basically the cock block and the 97 FSU game are the only victories in major games that came down to the wire-- the 08 SEC championship and Title would have been awesome but ended up as two score wins) but imagine being a tigers fan when that pass against the Hogs was caught in the end zone or in hostile territory for the Bluegrass miracle?

And that's football, one of two major sports where you can actually make case that being at home is a better experience (the other being hockey-- shite seats can make puck tracking hard).

Right, I mean I'm not an OT baller and one of these is obviously out of reach but if you only go to a handful of games a year because you work 70-80 hours a week you might as well drop a few hundred for awesome seats.

Hell, the only real case against these is Game 1, this could just be an epic beat down, but-- and this is why I brought up Showtime in an earlier post-- when everything is flowing for the Warriors even beat downs are kind of transcendent.

Dude, it's being around the hottest sporting event in your town at the time. If you can afford it why not?

I won't comment on whether or not it is worth it to be there, but the NBA is my favorite sport to watch on TV.

Then you've never been to a championship game in the NBA or NHL or a World Series.

Nothing else like a game in a best of seven. Now the game may turn out to totally stink but at the start nothing like it but YOU HAVE TO BE THERE
