They had the highest pay roll to put a powerful offense next to their great value defense. The defense was lifted by awesome, spirited defensive rookies that didn't leave any room in the midfield to operate.

Their dominance on defense will change the way people see the pro game. LOB was the reason for this victory. Peyton had little to do with it, nobody was beating this team en route to the ship.

I think the 2016 Green Bay Packers and the 2018 New York Jets both might have something to say about that.

Yeah, but the Saints won in 2010, 2017 and 2019, so...

Thanks to Eli coming home and reviving the fan base after Drew left them to be a stay at home dad

Wrong. The Seahawks defensive line was the reason they won the Super Bowl.

They are a great team, and will be a handful next year. They are clearly the best team of the 2013 season, but realistically, they are beatable.

Think about the Carindals game. Think about the 49erse playoff games and think about the Saints game, where the Saints unforced errors handed the game to Seattle. Saints lost by 8 despite playing horrifically.

They will be a tough team to beat, but after next season when they have to resign Thomas, Sherman, Avril, Thurmond, etc. That is when they'll have to bite the bullet especially with Wilson's contract coming up after the following season. They have a 2 year window at best before their luck in the draft will have run out from their recent draft classes.

2017 is the Ingram MVP year. How could people forget about this?

2019 is when Brittany had the quintuplets and Drew started off really rough. That was one of the biggest turnarounds we will likely ever see.

fricking came out of NOWHERE that year.

That said, after Fournette won that 3rd Heisman at LSU in 2016 and was picked-up by the Saints in the trade with the 1-15 Los Angeles Falcons, he was in a prime spot behind Ingram in 2017. After we dealt Ingram in 2018, Fournette broke all of Ingrams records in 2019 leading us to our 3rd SB victory in a decade...and Les Miles first SB win!
