The quality of Jay Wright's play call to end the game shouldn't go unnoticed

Incredibly happy for Jay Wright who has gotten a lot of criticism over the years, and his play call to end the game was fantastic. The inbounder trails the guy dribbling up the court and is there for the dropoff three. Has been used at least a couple other times that I'm aware of and it was such a great play when often times teams just want their best player to take their opponent by themselves.
Here are the other examples of that play I'm aware of:
Ty Rogers vs. Drake
Christian Watford vs. UK
and now:
Jenkins vs. UNC

The great thing about that play is the guy who dribbles it up and passes it back creates a screen because he runs in front of the shooter and rubs the defenders away.

I noticed Arcidiacono screened after dumping off to Jenkins. Well executed play drawn up.

And they just mentioned that in the postgame. That's the key part of that play.

Jenkins had all kinds of space to roam around because UNC didn't guard him when he was throwing the ball in.
But yeah, I love that trail play and it was beautifully executed by Villanova. Hell of a job by Wright tonight.

Without a doubt.
They just went Miami - Kansas - Oklahoma - North Carolina in their last four games.
That was arguably four of the top six or seven in the country at the end of the year.

Miami not in that group but they beat the 2 best teams plus Oklahoma. It was definitely quite the gauntlet

Miami was definitely the best 3 seed and was playing better than all the 2 seeds except OU and MSU at the end of the year. They were a tough team.

its too easy for fans to call out coaches for "choking" by losing in the tournament as a higher rated seed. its march madness for a reason. the way Villanova played team basketball and great defense the entire tournament was awesome to watch after watching LSU all year
