This team is pretty close to legitimately "good" this season and the future looks bright.

Legit leadoff hitter (Herrera). Legit middle-order power bat (Franco). Young, good front of the rotation. Potential superstar SS waiting in the wings.

I'm surprised and impressed. I compare this to Atlanta and I just don't see how the Braves aren't in the cellar for at least a few more years. PHI is way ahead of them.

You're welcome. We restocked your farm and took Ken Giles off your hands.

Every start Vince Velasquez makes after Giles blows another game is a stinger.

I was always under the impression Appel may have just needed a change of scenery to perhaps do well. Not like the Astros didn't wait patiently on him. Imagine if he panned out like Gerrit Cole did as 1.1

I really like their emerging rotation.

Vince Velasquez
Aaron Nola
Jerad Eickhoff

I really think that Maikel Franco will be a very, very good slugger. Odubel Herrera could be an above average player, but there need a lot of help with their bats. JP Crawford is an elite prospect, and I look forward to seeing him in the show.

Also, Hector Neris is having a damn good start to the season in the bullpen.

I prefer to imagine the Astros actually made the right selection and picked Bryant

There's absolutely positively no way at all they keep this up. Outside of Atlanta, they are the worse team in the league. By far. I see them putting up a bunch of Ls the rest of the season. Though it did help that my Astros took overrated Giles and gave them nice players in return.
