Very true. He's definitely on the team that enjoys them for sure.

I also find it funny how it's such a big deal.....over a PS player. For a team that needs defensive players pretty badly, it's amazing he wasn't just thrown on the roster.

Exactly. The guy isn't stupid, people that think he didn't know exactly what he was getting into don't give him the credit that he deserves.

That fact that you believe a person being publicly gay is like lighting a fire is nuts. Thats such bullshite to expect him to have to STFU about it. That would be like calling Tebow an a-hole for being so open about his Christianity. Do you think he did that shite for publicity too?

is that Sam's fault?

No, it's not. I disagree with what the league did.

Not any person...Michael Sam. Which is extremely relevant considering we are talking about special treatment within the NFL based strictly on homosexuality. Trying to turn it around as if everyone in here is talking about the entire homosexual population in general is weak.

It is exactly like lighting a fire when you are using it solely to gain fame and fortune then tell everyone you don't want to be the center of attention. He wants the special treatment. He knew his homosexuality would garner that. shite, anyone with half a brain knew that.

Again, won't fault him for it, but I will never buy from him or anyone else that he is just some innocent individual who just wants to be known for his ability on the field. If he was, he wouldn't have made his sexuality the spotlight of his personality versus his football skill.

Why are you so incredibly dense?

Not about his sexuality. It's about getting special treatment specifically because of it.

Either way, I think I'm done with this thread for now. I'm going watch some porn.

nb4 gay porn

Note to future players on the bubble; pretend to be a bone smuggler and get special treatment from the NFL.

I honestly think it's only the right thing to do if they believe Sam isn't getting a fair shake based on the circus that follows him. Considering the quality of play displayed in the preseason, better believe there aren't 29 practice squads that couldn't use a straight Michael Sam. I think the OWN thing was dumb on his part, but the flip side to that could be hoping that he could control the information around him and help avoid what is happening right now. Leave the gay drama on a drama channel and the sports side on supposed sports channels. This isn't just ESPN either. Though they spearhead the circus, the other outlets love to report on him and talk about what a distraction ESPN is to the teams.

Come on man, you can't be this dense. Sam knew exactly what he was doing.

Have you ever in your life seen more attention given to a practice squad player?

He's been pretty quiet about it actually. I think he wanted to put it out there before it leaked by his teammates from Mizzou.

I do think he made a huge mistake with the Oprah show, but that is 1 mistake.

Nope. I also haven't seen a preseason player that produced like he did struggle to get put on a practice squad.
