The rumor in Lubbock is that Leach considers Adam James a slacker who whines about lack of playing time. He has also apparently made known that he is considering transferring to SMU now that June Jones is there. Apparently James suffered a mild concussion on 12-16 and was not able to have contact in practice. Leach at that time had Adam walk around the track during practice. The next day Adam James showed up sunglasses and when Leach asked him what he thought he was doing coming to practice wearing sunglasses Adam responded by saying that the doctor told him the sunglasses was help him with the headaches. Leach then said I will do you one better and told the trainers to take him into the equipment room and turn the lights out so that the light would not bother him.
This made Adam mad and embarrassed him so he called daddy Craig. Craig then called TTU and told them he was not going to put up with this and it was wrong and he wanted something done about it.

Gotta go with cry baby with sense of entitlement, until something more substantial comes out. Just seems like his "fat little girlfriend" got pissed and left him, so he is trying to save face by challenging a crazy arse Coach.

I said it yesterday, could tell from the story that the kid is a punk, slacker, pussy. I don't think LEach did anything wrong. So he sent the kid to a dark room? Big F'ing deal. So the kid was embarrassed? Anyone who has ever played football knows that every practice punk slackers get embarrassed, it is practically the intent of coaching staffs to do so. I back Leach all the way on this.

And didn't Texas Tech hire a lifelong a-hole for their basketball coach who had been fired from his other job for choking one of his players? But the best football coach they have ever had is in trouble for sending a kid to his room? It's just silly.

I don't know, I'd be pretty pissed off if my coach locked me in an electrical closet. College football doesn't have any room for that type of stuff.

But I did when I heard about it.

I suspect there is more to it that that. They would not suspend their most successful coach on THAT alone. Did he Lock the door behind the kid? If so, that is dangerous and irresponsible.

There are many possibilities. We will hear "rumors" from the Pro-Leach (this one) and the Anti-Leach "sides".

Given the differing accounts, I'm not sure what my take is. But if this kid had a concussion, I don't care whether he's a slacker or not, you don't put him in a dark room with a guard posted to make sure he stands for three hours straight. Concussions are serious business.

But, if it's like Leach's lawyer said, and he was in the media room where he could observe practice while being out of the heat, then this kid's argument is moot.

You ever play football? If so, you must have never got hazed by the Upperclassmen then. Dude wanted to wear sunglasses to help with his headaches, and the Coach shut that shite down by putting him in a dark room. You think they locked the door, or did he just cry and cower in the corner waiting to call his daddy after the practice was over. Like I said, unless something else comes out dude is labeled as ghey in my book. Grow a sack James.......

The one to watch and listen to is Ted Liggett. I would not be surprised if he seeks an injunction so Leach can coach the bowl game and be the coach on 1/1/10. Liggett is good and I would not want to mess with him.

The James kid suffered a small to medium sized labia tear. It is what it is.

Daddy says electrical closet, lawyer says media room with A/C.

Hmmmmm....imagine that, two wildly different stories once a lawyer gets involved.

You don't haze a guy with a concussion. Period

I tend to think the media blows everything out of proportion, but where theres smoke theres fire. We will know a lot more after a full investigation. All I was saying was if they did in fact lock James in a closet, then Leach needs to get his fat arse kicked.

I remember the comments he made during the USCe/OM game this season. He kept talking about how TTU didn't care, didn't want to be there, wasn't motivated, etc. Basically making up every BS excuse imaginable defending TTU.

He came off as being a bit of a bitch.

I talked to a dad who has a kid playing. He said it was a post game interview room with ac and windows, not a electrical room. He also said the dad was a little-league type. Always come to practice giving his two cents.

Isn't the Dad ESPN's own Craig James or is that just a rumor?
